| AOIS specifications were put out to bid in late 1999. A contract was awarded to Corporate Computer to start development activities in May of 2000. It took approximately 18 months to define, specify, develop and test AOIS. It went live for CMU internal staff in December of 2001. |

| AOIS has enjoyed a steady growth both in the number of schools served as well as the number of users served. |
